They did it. Republicans voted in the House Rules Committee to move forward with John Boehners lawsuit against President Obama. If youre sick and tired of Republicans in Congress wasting your taxpayer dollars on stunts like suing President Obama, add your name and tell them youre not having any of it. Democrats in the committee proposed a number of commonsense amendments to the lawsuit if it were to move forward, including: Disclose the amount of taxpayer money being spent on the lawsuit every week. Require the House to disclose where the money to fund the lawsuit is coming from. Ensure than no additional funds are wasted by using the money that they set aside for investigating Benghazi once again. Republicans blocked every single amendment. Every. Single. One. These proposals seem fair to me and they probably seem fair to you, Randall, but not to these guys -- because they dont want the American people to see how much of our money is being wasted on this partisan stunt. If Republicans are going to waste time suing the President with our money, we deserve to know how much theyre spending, and where the money is coming from.
