They did it! They went into the big house and snapped the longest home win streak! Its time for the Denton post-game breakdown! HAND OUT THEM BLACKSHIRTS! Defense came to play today, and they played well! I had hoped they would come out and play like they did in the second half vs Northwestern and they didnt dissappoint! Hats off to Papuchis he kept the heat on Gardner and took him outta of his element. We went away from it at the beginnng of the second half and gave up a long touchdown drive. We also gave up a couple big plays, we bent but did not break. Gregory was a man on a mission, but I was hoping Baptise would of came away with a couple picks. They need to keep it up into next week. Game ball goes Abdullah, we needed the ground game to succeed and it did. There were times when the offense stalled, but Beck didnt seize the opportunity to throw the quick slant routes when Michigan stacked the box. I liked the option playcalls, a couple times Armstrong shoulda kept the ball. Thats something hell learn with time, but his patience won the game. He took a couple big hits but waiting till the last second to pitch is the way to run the option. Even though our OL is slowly depleting the young guys stepped up big and held their own. All and all it was a great game and our defense played outstanding. Offense struggled which will be concerning next week vs the Spartans.
