They dont take a lion thats been in captivity all its life and throw him in the jungle without process! Remember that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. We all have a cage we live in. It may be a spiritual cage, it may be a moral cage, it may be an emotional cage, but everybody has a cage. Somebody is always sticking their foot out of captivity. They are not out yet, but theyre coming out. Its not that they dont want to be immediately out, but they have to adjust to the world they want. Please dont mistake their slowness as an indication of their lack of interest. They want escape, they crave it, they long for it. They try and get themselves over to where you are but its just that they have never passed that way before. Their past was abusive, but that was their normal, and they are trying to get a new normal. They always want to be where you are, but they dont know how to get there. They have to crawl out, cry out, stumble out, spend three hours out, and five hours in, then three hours in, and five hours out, but they are coming out even if they cant leap out, even if they have have to get out and cry all night, theyre coming, even if they are coming scared, theyre coming, even if they are nervous, theyre coming, even if they are weak, theyre coming! They have to follow their instincts even if all their experiences say to stay in the cage. They have a roar in them trembling in their soul, a sensitivity tingling in their spirit, that they belong in the wild, not in the cage. You dont have to leap out, its not all or nothing, you can come out in stages. You can be weaned out. Are you going to be the lion in the cage, or the lion in the wild? INSTINCTS ~ TDJ
