They make my heart melt 😊 I cant believe they will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. Greyson is doing great overall. She was having a harder time breathing last night so they went up some on her pressure. Otherwise she is at full feeds on breast milk and slowly gaining weight. Asher is pretty swollen again so his weight isnt quite as accurate but he is still bigger than Greyson. He is managing his temperature better and hopefully will be moving into an open crib soon! He was put back on antibiotics this past week for a flare up infection in his trachea. The doctor thinks that his PDA is also causing problems. We decided to try another round of medicine to try and close the hole before moving on to surgery. The doctor thinks that it more than likely will not work but it was worth giving it a try. The side effects of leaving the PDA open are much greater than the surgery itself. Of course we do not want him to have another surgery but if it helps his heart and lungs we are left with no other option. Closing the PDA will allow his body to heal and he will not have to work as hard. Leaving him on the ventilator can cause a lot of damage so we want to get him breathing on his own ASAP. We appreciate the continued support for our little miracles.
