They were going to extubate Mossy today but now his left lung has consolidation (congested). They have removed the chest drain from his right lung and his urinary catheter. However his portacath (used for access as has terrible veins) is blocked. So had a minor procedure to have it replaced but that one is blocked too. So now he has some super medication in the line hoping to unclog it. And we know what the bug is thats caused his pneumonia. cdc.gov/hi-disease/ Im so grateful for Ronald McDonald House. There was a dinner here tonight (usually a few a week) & this young man of just 19 or 20 wildboy.co.nz who has walked the entire coastline of nz in over 600 days living off the land and raised over $30k. Inspirational. Puts me to shame really. Makes me realise I can be a golden runner for RMH next year I think. And finally- thank you Marama and Mackenzie for visiting us today.
