Things I learned today during my second ridealong with the Toronto Wildlife Centre rescue team: if you encounter wildlife in distress, contact the TWC hotline first, they are total pros, work in the animals best interest, have specialized skills, and are all-round awesome; plastic bags are deceptively dangerous to wildlife, dispose of them properly, and if you see them loose on the street, consider throwing them in the trash; finally, baby possums are ridiculously adorable.
