Things I learned while I was in Prague 1. AH-hoy means hi 2. Prague (Prana) is a truly romantic city 3. Public transportation takes the Free Ryder concept to a whole new level. You can get on a bus, tram or metro and don’t need to show a ticket, but if an undercover plain clothes person asks you for a ticket and it is not current you have to pay Kč 800 on the spot 4. Eurotrip was shot in its entirety in Prague 5. Riding Bicycles is in-fact super fun, I love the bell 6. Marijuana, Cocaine and Ecstasy have all been de-criminalized and every does it right there on the street. 7. Pilsner beer is what they love 8. The Velvet Revolution took place and not a single bullet was shot or a single life lost 9. Prague is one of the last places in the world where you can still smoke in an enclosed building – and nearly everyone does - I’m not a fan… 10. John Lennon never visited Prague but there is a wall dedicated to him and his music, mainly because it is across the street from the French Embassy and the Prague Police did not want to risk a public black eye by arresting taggers 11. You can still swim in the Vltava river, it is not polluted 12. David Černy is a great artist – tinyurl/ls4utyp 13. Just like Paris, the ground floor is 0 14. The Sabbath is on Saturday but most are Agnostic 15. Toilet paper is rectangular not square 16. It is very windy in the subway – I don’t think they have air vents so they put is all out at the station 17. People high on Ecstasy think they are funny but turn’s out to be super annoying 18. There are a LOT of backpackers in Prague 19. Segways are everywhere and they are quite dangerous to pedestrians 20. The Czeck Republic has a beautiful countryside, I now want to come back and tour it on scooter, so many old buildings to see 21. Not so many people speak English but they were committed to the process :D 22. My feet now have many blisters…
