Things You Didnt Know About Me- Let me apologize for the length of this. I was liking other peoples WITHOUT knowing I had to repost. The next day I had over 50 things I was supposed to write about me... Anyway, this is for Lisa McCormick, Ruth-Ann Messer Jones, Valerie Sanchez, Tara Bulen, Chelsea Chiono, Tyrone St John. Next time I will learn the rules! Here goes... 1. Im the only male member in an all female wine club. 2. Im a fantastic speller. 3. Ive met many of my heroes and interesting celebrities: R.A. Salvatore, Jim Lee, Steve Watson, Terrell Davis, John Elway, M. Night Shyamalan, Gary Payton and Dick Vitale. 4. I write personal poems for people. 5. I like to paint at the Palette and two of my paintings are under my Facebook pictures. 6. When I was a kid I liked to crawl backwards until my parents set a tomato in front of me and then I crawled forward. 7. I love Italian women, food, cars and their lifestyle. Im a wannabe Italian. 8. The vast majority of women Ive dated haven been brunettes but every once in awhile a blonde will come along that blows them all away. 9. I was adopted and my family raising me is wonderful! I do sometimes wonder about my birth parents. I do want to know where I came from. I did get a letter from my adoptive mom that was written a LONG time ago that said the last name of my adoptive parents was either Muir or Muhr. Something I will definitely investigate. Anyone have any idea on how to go about this? 10. I have more pairs of shoes than I care to admit 11. I was in the restaurant industry for 18 years of my life and I miss it tremendously. Being a waiter was my favorite job of all-time. 12. Ive had depression for nearly 20 years now and sometimes its a daily struggle. Its just one of those things that I deal with and I do my best to be a positive person. 13. I used to believe in the one but I dont any more. My stylist has know most of the women Ive dated said she has never seen or ever heard of anyone being screwed over, taken advantage of or taken for granted than me. I finally got to the point where I simply dont care anymore- sad, but true. If it happens, it happens. if it doesnt then it doesnt. 14. Im a HUGE UFC fan! My favorite fighters are - Carlos Condit, Junior Dos Santos, Matt Hughes, Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi. 15. Ive stood up for people in retail being verbally abused by jerks and it got ugly... 16. When Ty St. John vowed to put on a cocktail dress if The Ale House raised enough money last year and then did it (when another manager copped out) I thought that was ballsy and I had new respect for him! 17. I do a killer Scooby Doo impression- the laugh and everything. Also Ted Koppel, Johnny Carson, and Tom Brokaw. 18. If I were on an island and all there was to eat and drink was celery, cilantro, black & green olives, IPAs,Red beers, or Martinis... Id starve and die of hunger or thirst, whatever came first. 19. I used to have over 300 VHS tapes of college basketball games recorded. 20. I am a feudal Japan history buff. 21. I have varied music tastes: from Ice Cube, Robin Thicke, Frank Sinatra, Roy Orbison, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, to Sarah McLachlin, Enya, and Sade. 22. I once made a half-court shot during a freshman year basketball game. They said it didnt count and that my hand was still on the ball when time ran out. People in the stands didnt agree. 23. I have plans for a novel. Something epic on the lines of a Game of Thrones/Lord of the Rings meets Shogun. 24. I remember back in 4th Grade and we got measured in the 40 yard dash and I was the fastest in school. Mrs. Faber, our PE Teacher clocked us and I was .10 ahead of the other boys in my class. Being the fastest was SUPER IMPORTANT back then. I beat Roland Romero and never forgot a moment to bring it up! We could have just raced at recess one time but that would have been too hard... :) 25. I never went to the principals office in grade or middle school. That was one of my greatest fears. There was one time that I should have though for throwing dirt in this kids sweaty face! 26. Some of my biggest fears of dying are: falling off a cliff (I wont go over Red Mountain Pass, even in the summer), getting eaten by a shark, and I dont like heights. 27. When I was younger I could make you laugh for days but I could be obnoxious and judgmental! Had to change my ways 28. When people ask me if I run I say only when chased 29. Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller, Nick DiPaolo, Dave Attell, Whitney Cummings and Dave Chappelle consistently make me laugh! 30. I had so many freckles growing up that I was a honorary ginger. 31. Back in my twenties, every break I had a 20oz Mountain Dew mixed with a Red Bull (the Red Dew I called it) and a Hersheys Big Block. Talk about a sugar high! Good times... 32. I think the most beautiful drive Ive seen is up to Gateway and I go up there as often as I can. 33. My favorite TV shows of all time include: Seinfeld, Frasier, Archer. The League, Battlestar Galactica (the new version), Nip/Tuck, Game of Thrones, Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia, South Park. 34. In grade school I had a #80 Broncos jersey (it was Rick Upchurchs #) and every time I wore it playing football at lunch I scored touchdowns. I thought it was magical! Anyway, anbout 10 years back I actually got to wait on him and some other Broncos and I told him about the story of his magic jersey and he got kick out it! 35. Im a really good public speaker and used to kill it in my speech class- give me notes and a subject and I can talk to 3 or 3000 with no fear. 36. Ive had a bunch of nicknames: Matty Matty Vega$ Matty Ice Bad Matty Steamin Ehmann Matthias Hollywood The Ehmann Seed and Shaft and I also give nicknames to so many people I know. If I gave you a nickname it meant I liked you. 37. I went through a little wannabe tough/gangster stage in my late teens. I had a bandana and Cypress Hill shirt I used to wear... :D 38. I make killer ribs, steaks and grilled salmon. 39. I think I may go sky-diving and I plan on learning to snowboard this year. 40. My middle name is Dalton, same as my Dads. He was a Matt Dillon fan growing up and wanted to name me Matt Dillon Ehmann. Mom said no and Dalton was the compromise. 41. My favorite movies all time are: Heat, The Shawshank Redemption, The Avengers, The Godfather, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, X-Men 2, The Dark Knight, The Thomas Crown Affair, Glengarry Glen Ross, Private Parts, Aliens, Anchorman, Zoolander, The Thing (the 1982 version) and Ghostbusters 42. I was in one fist fight in my life as a sophomore and the kid bled on my shirt so bad that when I got home I looked like I had been stabbed. Im 1-0 43. I was a pretty good basketball player back in the day. I was super-short but was cat quick and could dribble and pass with just about anyone. 44. Ive been doing Question of the Night for four years now and it has been one of my favorite things of all time. 45. When I was a kid, I hated ranch dressing, BBQ sauce, ham and pretzels. Now, theyre some of my favorite things to eat. 46. The biggest tip I ever got waiting tables was $235! It was on New Years Eve two years ago. Ive gotten $100 quite a few times. 47. Ive always dated older women. I like their intelligence, self confidence and less-to-no drama ways. To me, theres nothing in this world like a woman in her 30s, 40s or 50s that has it. 48. I like to sleep as much as anyone you will ever meet. I could regularly have 10 hours plus a night and be better of because of it.. 49. Ive never officially broken a bone. But sprained ankles? Thats another story... 50. It seems I have the EIGHT Year Itch. 1995 was bad, 2003 was bad, and 2010 was bad. 2018 should be the apocalypse I guess. 51. I think people who date or dont date people because of money or height are the most superficial people in the world. 52. After seeing Jennifer Lawrence, I must say that its a tie between her and Scarlett Johansson for the most attractive women under 30.
