Things like this really piss me off. First: does a homeowners assn have nothing better to do than go after someone, a Vet no less, for displaying the flag of our country? Second: If people can burn or walk on or otherwise disgrace the flag, I think it is absolutely everyones right to display one!!!! I dont honestly feel a HOA should have the right to deny anyone of that. Third: It MIGHT be a different story if it somehow detracted from the neighborhood or was excessive like a 30ft x 50ft flag waving in his front yard.... but its a damn little flag in a flower pot!! Who the hell is it bothering! He served his country and should have the right to proudly display a flag at his home. HOAs have rights, but I dont think that restricting someone from displaying a flag should be one of them.
