Things went great and now we await pre authorization from my insurance. Surgery will not be scheduled until we recieve that. He said I have a chronic colonization of bacteria from mesh. So at the same time he performs the Panniculrctomy to remove wound he will have Dr Alley awaiting to due a hernia repair which we wont know until they are doing surgery. He also said I will also still have to do a neuroctomy seperate after I heal from this surgery because it wont repair my damaged nerves. Nurse said it could take up to 30 days to hear from Cigna if they will cover this medically needed surgery. He said I will never heal or get better until I do. The way I look at it I will make sure to find a way to pay for this if my insurance doesnt want to cover it. Luckily after pictures and the letter my doctor writes, I feel like I should be approved as I have met all criteria. Scary though. Prayers welcome and appreciated.
