Thinking about all the families that have lost loved ones these past three days; my daughter-in-laws grandfather, my sisters father-in-law, and my co-workers father-in-law all passed away Sunday, within a twelve hour period... All three will be laid in their final earthly resting places this afternoon, leaving behind wives, children, grandchildren, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends grieving as they walk away from final earthly moments with them today. Many others, from little babies born too early to survive in this world to elderly whose physical bodies have been ravaged with disease, illnesses, or merely worn-out from life here, have slipped from this life the last few days. It seems FB statuses are filled with news of family and friends entering eternity as we end this year... Father, I lift all these families up to You, individuals grieving over the loss of their love one. Father comfort each and every one of them; love on them, give each one peace about their loved one whom had a relationship with You, peace about the children whom had not reached the age of accountability; yet were secure in eternal life with You. Father, burden our hearts, fill our thoughts with those grieving. Let us fill empathy that we may sympathize with those left here. Give us encouraging words to say, nudge us to reach out with hugs and deeds of love that we would show Your love to them. Thank You, Father for each of these lives that leave behind memories, may only the good within each of them be remembered and may their legacies encourage and inspire their families. In Jesus name, Amen!
