Thinking about my Granddaddy... he passed away 12 years ago today and his 86th birthday would be Fri. Sept 19th (same as my Founders Day). My GrandDad was minister, a true Man of God and was my father figure after my Father was killed in 93. My granddad owned rental property, a tire store, and a grocery store in the Mack and Van Dyke area for many years, yet he only possessed a 6th grade education. He showed me what a man who took care of his family looked like, and stressed that through Christ u could do anything. I would not be who I am today without the love and guidance of my Grandaddy and I will always love him and miss him :-) RIP Rev. Joseph E. Thompson aka Granddaddy
