Thinking about this whole SPC thing has got me started about what I would change in this country if I was ever the prime-minister. I love nothing better than getting on my soap -box at any opportunity and this is what I would do if I was prime-minister. 1. Unless you are disabled or old -you go do some work for your welfare payment. 2. Believe it or not -there are volunteer groups desperately in need of workers. Volunteering is such a win win situation. Watch how your self esteem and your skills go up -way better than playing on your X-box all day! 3.Why should the whole class suffer coz your kid is a delinquent. You participate wholeheartedly in remediating your child. What your child gets for frèe in the education system is unbelievable. Education is a privelage -not a right! 4. I often think instead of incarcerating refugees in inhumane conditions -set them free. Allow them to work./ Allow them to be entrepreneurial. The assisted refugees get a huge amount of money which actually precludes a work ethic. Would you get off your bum -if you got it all for nothing? Did you know post war refugees had no choice -if they wanted stay in Australia -they had to go and work in the cane-fields! 5. All welfare monies paid for children should go to children. I couldnt believe the number of children I met in schools last year who didnt even have a pencil. What did your mum do with the money?? OK sooo, I have put it all out there. I feel better!! I try to be as non confrontational as possible..so this is really against my grain...
