Thinking of my Sister today, Martha Hope. Today she would have been 72 years old. She passed away last February, I miss both she & my brother Darrell. I think about the good times, nothing negative. I think our youth was the best part of life for us. We had little but we were together, we stood up for each other, we danced on the linoleum coverd floor in the kitchen and made peanut butter rolls or fudge candy. We were having so much fun one Saturday night that when one of Shirleys boyfriends came calling, Darrell ran to the door and told him Shirley was staying in Welch with our sick Grandmother, lol our Grandparents lived in East War. I dont think the Waltons had anything on us, most families have a John Boy & the same memories that love brings. As we mellow with age we go home & back to the blessed times of youth. I needed not to look back on life and declare the good ol days, I knew I was in those days as we were living them then. RIP Darrell & Martha Hope
