One year ago, my first granddaughter entered this world, and within 30 minutes of her birth, my youngest son was Skyping with us in the delivery room and we were able to hear her cry, see her tiny form, complaining about her situation in this remarkable world we live in. Today, I celebrate my grandchildren, knowing that one is close by, on the cusp of entering high school, and his little cousin turns one today, having just learned to walk, far away from us all, but able to be viewed through the wonders of this technological world learning all the things that are new. Halfway around the world, her daddy wakes up this morning and will wish her a happy birthday on the wind and know that it will be carried to her. Happy Birthday, Rylea.
