This AMAZING DOG at one time was in serious trouble. She came in to the shelter, nervous about loud noise...scared of other dogs and starved. She needed a second chance that was tailored to her needs. Traditional sheltering doesnt work when rehabbing dogs. Autumn Acres stepped up for this dog hoping that there small facility would help Claudia on to her next step. However, even with TPC providing free training help and classes, Claudia still continued to have really bad days, and was difficult to show to potential adopters because of her unruliness. Autumn Acres decided to sponsor rehabilitation and obedience training for Claudia at The Pet Connection (Official) new sanctuary. Autumn Acres Animal Rescue often take in medical cases and special training issues, Claudia ended up having more than they expected and they utilized our behavioral and training team to help them out. We gave them discounts on the monthly fee, helped make donors aware of her. We also allowed their organization to partner with us on our existing fundraisers. Claudia is now in a foster care home and is hopefully on her way to a new home. Autumn Acres hasnt forgotten her and has continued to look for a match. TPC volunteers will be driving Claudia to KC in September (TBA) for a meet and greet. The home has been pre-screened and seems like a good match. Until then, I have to say that this mess of a dog has been able to become her true self with just a little training, socialization, and time. Help Claudia with her training and send the message to the no kill movement that behavioral help has to be in the budget....Sponsorship needed $230.00.....We (Autumn Acres and TPC) have provided this dog with months of rehabilitation and support. We try to just cover our expenses on the dogs that we care for. Claudia is so dear to my heart and truly one of our successes since opening the sanctuary in February. Many people have contributed (besides myself) in her training and socialization including: Jason Huff, Andrea Wise, William Huff, Duane E.
