This Fall/Winter matte foundation or finish is the way to go. This can be quite a tricky look to create as your face can look quite flat and expressionless as the foundation and powder can end up looking chalky. Also, for any of us with the first little lines and wrinkles, the matte look can enhance what we want hidden! The first thing I would recommend is getting a powder such as this one from Guerlain which keeps shine down but leaves a SATIN finish which opticaly minimizes fine lines / pores. I have also been experimenting and I have opted for a compromise: I only powder down my t-zone from my forehead down to my chin, leaving my cheekbones and sides of my face without powder.
