This Saturday Night at BV Show starts at 9:30pm..e early as we will be FULL..I will be behind the Bar...Mixing up some specialty cocktails! “CREATION ( Roots Reggae and Lover’s Rock) (The Bay Area’s Top Reggae Band) The Bay Area’s top Reggae- Soca -Worldbeat Band- Creation Caribbean Groove is comprised of seasoned, notable players hailing from Jamaica, The Virgin Islands, Trinidad, & the U.S. The band presents the best of Reggae music with an unparalled mystical vibe, including members who performed with Bob Marley and The Soul Syndicate.The band will present a combination of Roots Reggae, Lover’s Rock, Soca, Calypso, Mento, Ska, Samba, and Worldbeat Caribbean Styles- Creation Caribbean Groove has performed for decades running the gamut from the largest and most notable fairs, festivals and concerts, to colleges, night clubs , yacht & golf clubs to concerts, special events, fundraisers, gallery openings , celebrity events , private parties & weddings. Some of the notable events include: Reggae OnThe River, The Health and Harmony Festival, The Summer Arts Festival, Festival ByThe Lake, July 4th – Pier 39, The Embarcadero, Juneteenth Festival, River Rafting Festival and many more. The band members are: Clinton Penn – Drummer & Band Leader Clinton is a Virgin Island native whose cousin Don Penn had the hit song No No No which skyrocketed on the music charts. As the founder and backbone of both Creation- Roots Reggae Dance Band ( 5-10 piece ) as well as his smaller soca, calypso, steel drum based band -Caribbean Spice, Clinton has played with most everyone you can think of in the reggae, soca and calypso circuits as well as many other notables such as Carlos Santana & Babatunde Olatunji . Stanton Israel Powerhouse Heaven - Lead Vocals Simply put one of the best Jamaican reggae vocalists today and often compared with Dennis Brown & Gregory Isaacs two of - Jamaica’s greatest and most well loved vocalists as well as he brings to the band the spirit and mystical side reminiscent of the late great Bob Marley ! Emory Tenor Grant – Saxophone Jamaican born and one of the founding & key members of Jamaica’s greatest session band –Soul Syndicate whose hit Tenement Yard topped the charts and is still heard all over the world.Tenor’s voice which sounds like his tenor sax soon became his nickname. Tenor’s remarkable playing style was acquired while working with such reggae greats as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Dennis Brown, and Lee Scratch Perry just to name a few. Densfield Alexander- From the island of St. Kitts in The Caribbean, Densfield is proficient on both the bass as well as the steel drums. Densfield has performed with all the long time local groups such as The Caribbean Allstars as well as a great many notable international reggae groups. Patrick Owens- This outstanding guitarist has performed with everyone from regional groups such as Amandla Poets , Zulu Spear, Wazobia, to international stars such as Pablo Moses, Don Carlos , Sugar Minott, Babatuned Olatunji, Barrington Levi, and the The Wailing Souls. Rob Gardon- Keyboardist of the group has been in the Caribbean Reggae Worldbeat Scene for decades- having played with bands such ast Strictly Roots as well as with Motown, R & B bands such as The Drifters, Coasters, and Platters. When the occasion calls for Soca, Calypso, Mento, Ska- band can add Paul Snagg- Originally from St. George- Grenada rounds out this configuration playing steel drums bringing the sounds of Soca, Claypso, and Mento from the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Paul has performed and toured with many steel drum and reggae groups from his origins in Grenada to his home now in California-Paul has performed everywhere including Arizona, Nevada, New York , Minnesotta to British Columbia and Canada.
