This Saturday’s edition of one of the UK’s most popular football programmes, Football Focus, featured an interview with FC Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic. Duncan McMath started by asking the Croatian what this summer’s move meant to him in terms of his football career in general. “For sure Ill never forget the first steps at Basel and Schalke” he said. “And for sure the most important time for me was the two and a half years at Sevilla. And now to take this step to FC Barcelona is unbelievable. … Its different. I dont think people in Barcelona would ever be happy just to win the Europa League.
