This afternoon we held the biggest rally against NSA surveillance yet. Over 3000 people descended on Washington, DC to demand that our government stop the lying and stop the spying. This rally was just the beginning – we are launching a sustained campaign to put an end to the NSA’s unconstitutional mass spying program. The folks in DC know we can fill their inboxes with letters, their voicemails with calls. And we will. But we need to make it so everywhere they turn they are confronted with the fact that the American people want mass surveillance to stop. That means paying for some incredible ads and billboards that we have in the works. And it means bringing this fight directly to their doorsteps. In the past few months, we’ve sent activists to NSA defenders’ district town hall meetings in Rhode Island and Maryland – forcing them to explain exactly why they don’t care about their constituents’ rights. We need your support so that we can do that in every district, in every state.
