This afternoonI had just seen the best movie ever with my boy! When The Game Stands Tall. Trent and I were all smiles until we walked outside the movie theater to a troubled man. He was on his knees and disoriented. My first thought was hes having a heart attack. I asked him if he was ok and he didnt respond. Another man and his wife walked over to us and he helped the man stand up and brought him into the theater out of the rain and sat him down. In the meantime his wife ran for help. The Manager of the movie said yeah we know who your talking about hes just some drunk and then walked away. The wife returned and then her husband said hed go speak the manager. The wife, Trent and myself stayed with the man. This troubled man stood up and attempted to walk. We tried to get him to sit back down and relax. He then took a step fell backwards smashing his head on the door. The impact was so loud people from all directions ran over. The man was completely knocked out but conscious. The manager finally walked over and rolled his eyes annoyed at the situation. I yelled did u call an ambulance? Another employee from the theater said well we called the police a little while ago letting them know there was a drunk man hanging around. But what about an ambulance? I had thrown my pocketbook with my phone in it in a corner somewhere. The manager just stood there not caring for a second. Someone then called an ambulance. Were all aware the man shouldnt have been heavily intoxicated however hes still a person. Maybe someone in his life just died, maybe he lost his job. Regardless do the Godly humane thing and help!!! Shame on that theater manager!! Afterwards we went to the 5:00 mass at church and Trent lit a candle for the man from the movies. At least I was able to teach my son we shouldnt judge people just because they made a bad decision. Help others whenever you can. Im certain we all have made a poor decision at one time in our lives.
