This album came out the month I started working at Penny Lane Records in October of 2000 at their new location in Westwood, right outside of UCLA. In the days before Amoeba Music came to town. I worked there until I got a job at Dont Panic! Designs, a gay tee-shirt shop in the Center of WeHo between Mickeys & RAGE Restaurant & Bar - West Hollywood. It was so gay it had rainbow glass windows in every color of the prism. Jay moved to L.A. soon after, in February of 2001. Pre 9/11 still. What were you wanting? I just want to say Dont ever change And thank you I dont think we will meet again And you must leave now Before the sunrise Above skyscrapers The sin and This mess were in and The city sun sets over me
