This animated film explains the ideas behind the Stockwood Community Benefit Society - also known as Rush Farm and its neighbouring rural business park. Land is wonderful - treat it right and itll feed us all and keep our ecosystem healthy and balanced. But it doesnt earn us much financially, in the commericlal world, which is why speculators want to, for example build houses instead. But maybe it shouldnt be that way; at least thats what we think. Respectable folks who have a little to put away can also make a difference in the world, by investing in the rural business park and farm to lock away the land in a trust, forever. You earn 5% return per annum [Capital at risk] while protecting the land from speculators; helping the organic and biodynamic farm make a difference; and help the businesses earning the return on the business park become more green, source better materials, trade fairly and give apprenticeships amongst other things. We like breaking the rules, we do!
