This applies directly to many trainers and coaches too. The whole fascia fascination seems misguided. Theres no support for it and Meyers ideas around pain suggest that he doesnt understand current pain science. Hes off in his own imaginary world. Its unfortunate because a lot of MTs who dont know better are impressed. They need to read the science for themselves. The basics are not that hard to understand. The book Explain Pain by Butler and Moseley lays it out in terms any lay person can understand. The Neuromatrix Theory of Pain is very readable. (Google it.) Todd Hargroves recent book A Guide to Better Movement explains how pain works really well. Meyers is lost in the woo. Time to leave that behind. Alice Sanvito
