This applies to so many situations in my life right now. But most of all, it reminds me of Carla. My mom, who always had the right thing to say, was able to push, shove if need be, me in the direction I needed to go. She was my rock. When Id tried and failed and tried again, she was there when I would call. The last 8 years of my life have had this huge effin void- I miss her so very very much. . She was not perfect, we had our rough times, and I was far away as she fell apart and eventually lost her life because of it. But she would have done anything for me or my sisters. She was Tina Turner obsessed, if I recall correctly.. And this, and many other songs are my connection to her. If she were alive right now, Id like to think my life would be different. If for nothing more than I could call and hear her voice. What I wouldnt give for her to meet Katelyne.
