This article really upset me...Metis, Mesitzo, ..why not just say half breed and does being born on a reservation make a half breed there more Indian than a full blood born in the city....I know a man, Cheyenne...when I first met him (picked me up at a train station to care for an elderly Lakota brother), he called himself a City Indian, and he drove like a city Indian:)...he is the Director for West Central Texas Aim Chapter, buried his brother will full ritual, is greatly involved in helping the people...I dont know if he is a Registered Indian, but he is an INDIAN in action and belief...is he an ethnic Indian...right beside this article was an article about the Cherokee Elders sharing Christmas storie...they are associated with a Federally Recognized tribe, but Christmas is not traditional holistic practice of the Elders...why must some people cause more and more division...why cant men/women be recognized for what they do and not what their tribal status is...division and more division...that is white mans way...Indian looks out for their brothers/sisters not down on them
