This bill has a major flaw. It attempts to address the danger of an attempt to forcibly take the firearm of a law enforcement officer. But the language does not stipulate that the firearm be in the officers possession. So as written, a person could see a gun laying in the grass and if he picks it up, and then is approached by the officer, he is then guilty of a felony with a 5 year minimum sentence.
