This could be a matter of life or death. Today someone I knew complained to me about feeling sick. The way she described the symptoms it sounded a whole lot like a stroke. We figured out a way to get her to the hospital as fast as possible. The only reason I knew that her symptoms sounded like a stroke was because I took an E.M.T. class. That being said, you dont have to be a health care student to know what to look for in a stroke. The only thing that can happen when you recognize the signs of a stroke is to get that person to the nearest hospital with a stroke center as fast as you can. Theres no fancy C.P.R trick, or any sort of medicine you can give, so the only power we have is to recognize the signs of a stroke and ensure that that person gets to a hospital ASAP. Take one minute of your time to read what the signs of a stroke are and you could potentially save a life.
