This could be another explanation of the Big bang. The universe could be much older than we believe it to be, and all of the known Universe could be what one ancient and extremely-massive black hole ejected into space once it became a white hole. That would explain the expansion of the universe (the main argument behind the Big Bang theory). Which of course raises the question of what existed before it and how was it formed. Maybe there was no point in time that was the true beginning, and time, space, and matter have always existed. Of course our feeble brains cant comprehend an infinite existence, so it seems impossible to us. Or maybe a Multiverse does exist, each possessing their own properties, and they inevitably and eventually share some of their matter with each other, and ours happened to receive a super-massive black hole from another, which then turned into a white hole and ejected all of the foreign matter into what we know as our universe and the Big Bang?
