This date in White Sox history- July 10, 1956- Sox pitcher Billy Pierce makes his third and final All-Star game start, taking the loss in a 7-3 defeat against the NL. Pierce went 3 innings, giving up 2 hits and 1 ER while striking out 5. He would go on to represent the Sox in the midsummer classic a total of 7 times. Other White Sox all stars included 2B Nellie Fox (2-4, 1 run scored), C Sherm Lollar (1-2), and P Jim Wilson (1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 K)
