This election isnt just about getting drunk and having fun like some like to say. Its about a lot more than that. Its about realizing that right here right now, we can change the direction this town is going. We are at a moment of growth and expansion like never before and we have the power to use that momentum to shoot us to that next level! Weve been convinced since birth in this town that it is small and will never change. I believe that only depends on the goals and work the people in this town are willing to put forth. Lets be honest we are only expanding now because of the oilfield boom. What happens when it busts? Will we lose these new businesses like we lost McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, and others in the past or will we bring in more attractions that will keep people here instead of moving to the next boomtown? Do you think HEB, Lowes, Chilis, Bowling Alleys, and Movie Theaters will open here if we are dry? What do you think is the first question they ask themselves before scouting a new location? Yes we are growing, but why put all of our eggs in a basket that crashes every 10 years? We need to utilize every avenue we can to keep this town moving forward! We can do this and we were only 84 votes away last time! Dont just assume this will pass, dont assume its already won, and dont take your most precious right as a citizen of the United States for granted and not VOTE! Lets be that generation that changed this town! We have a chance to make history and the time is now! Im not going to let someone from over a century ago make my decisions for me and you shouldnt either. Who else wants to make history with me?
