This first week back was a bit of a roller coaster. Monday went - TopicsExpress

This first week back was a bit of a roller coaster. Monday went surprisingly well, but on Tuesday, everything I did had some unexpected glitch or failure with it, which really shook my confidence. Throughout the rest of the week, I allowed myself to worry and stress about everything, and I began over- thinking and second guessing every decision I made. There were several nights where I only got a couple of hours of sleep due to my anxiety. I have dealt with worry/anxiety in the past, but this was the first time that I really struggled being able to shake it and move on. Although I spent a LOT of time in prayer this week, I struggled giving everything over to the Lord and I had little to no peace. I am not sure the root of all my worries, but I do know that I am trying to make a lot of improvements in my teaching in a short amount of time, and I have a lot of end of the semester student teaching requirements as well. My class is still struggling with a lot of the same behavior issues, and it seems like no matter how many times I address it, there is still an excessive amount of talking and students getting out of their seat, ect. during my instruction. This also is shaking my confidence in my teaching abilities. Anyways, I have had a pretty restful weekend and am hopeful for a better week ahead, but continued prayers are appreciated! I am a little stressed because I will be administering standardized tests to my students this week, and I have no idea what to expect. I also am having a hard time planning how to spend my class time in the afternoons after testing. I dont want to stress the students out, but I also dont want to miss a whole week of the core subjects. I only have this week and next left of full time teaching, and neither are normal weeks (if there is such a thing in El. Ed) with testing this week and a 4-day week next. Please pray that I would have peace and trust God with the little time I have left here.
