This goes out to all the fitness/weightlifting novices who either havent started or dont know how to. I get emails from you all the time, but have never addressed you en masse. Instead of posting a massive status, Ive decided to chunk it down & post about a specific topic most every morning, so stay tuned. Ive written a few posts in my Notes section you may find helpful. Id also check out my Vegan Yumminess & Vegan Fitness albums. Success leaves clues & there are dozens of inspiring, focused folks Ive featured there whose brains you could pick as well. Even though Ive lifted for most of the past 16 years & really know what Im doing, I still learn little nuggets from great friends who are my fitness role models & havent yo-yoed between fit & fat like I have. People like Derek Tresize, Robert Cheeke, Ana Sa, John Lewis & Claudia Lailhacar to name a few. All with unique approaches to diet & fitness. Remember: nothing sculpts a body, strengthens bones & improves self-esteem quite like resistance training. Theres something for everyone: good old weightlifting, Cross Fit, P90X, Insanity, power yoga, you name it. Hopefully, you can get a great workout partner like I have, too. It makes it so much more fun & beneficial, especially when you get a great post-workout workout! ;) And since its hard to verbally explain proper form, Ill probably be filming my first videos some time soon, to show you how to properly lift. Update: my weight loss has tapered off a bit over the past week, but thats only because Im not eating as raw as I need to & need to bump up the cardio a bit. Ive still lost 14.1kg (31 pounds) in barely six weeks, while putting on a good bit of muscle. Pics to come of both of us. Lets get & STAY fit with PLANT POWER!
