This guy PK holds the mirror onto the society picking up subtle stories connecting them to create a much bigger picture which is the need of the hour : Humanity. We seem to have developed different kind of approach while dealing with Cinema. For most of us it should be entertainment no matter it makes sense or not, for some it should have a sense of art and for some [including the film-makers] it should tag along a social message. Hirani and Co have somehow mastered the art of making their narrative to work smoothly commercially getting the attention of critics at the same time. The idea that they have pitched in is nothing new but probably the way they have executed and framed it together hooks you on to the screen. The best yet the complicated thing one enjoys is laughing at himself. PK brings in several moments like that when simple questions on the system that we ourselves have created and are a part of it everyday. It provides an easy connect to viewers and thus creates a pleasant experience, Even though you get reminded of Paresh Rawals OMG often PK ends up on a much higher note covering on aspects apart from God or the divine. In fact it does attempt to define what divine is. Aamir as usual is brilliant. Although his mannerisms looks like continued from Dhoom 3 it does make more sense in PK as the character demands it Probably we witness one of the best performances by Anushka. With the makeover she seems to pulled it off very well. Personally her performance appealed me more than that of Aamirs. Even though the film is not visually extravagant or use your brain it works great because it communicates humanity through visual and that too comically most times [some parts of the narrative are deliberately sequenced, coincidences of such sort is highly unlikely]. If you think PK is waste of time than i would state that it is worth wasting your time watching him :-).
