This guy is not a crackpot and this is the most imminent threat our Country faces..not only are we constantly under threat from solar flares, we just barely missed one a few weeks ago but even the smallest country like N. KOREA or Iran can takes us out with just one Nuke detonated 200 miles above us. The Chinese and most other countries have this as part of their war plan..If the power goes out 90% of our population will die..and its something that about 2 billion dollars will fix...thats less than what we give away to the very same enemies that would do this to us. The power grid is over 100 years old and its something we can fix now..cut out the subsidies we give the oil companies and cooperate farms and put the money on the grid..If we truly believe in a free market then why do we give these large corporations taxpayer money? Put the money into something we all benefit from? Our enemies are fixing their grids and if something isnt done its not a matter of if but when will this happen.
