This has been a weird day. I woke with both ears all stuffy. The right one I cant hear out of at all & the left only a little. It has been totally disconcerting. I feel like Im being chased by killer wolves & there is no place to hide. The ladies at the pool had many laughs at my expense which is good because some of them have little to laugh about & I was truly OK with it. Try Aqua Zumba when you cant hear the music! Ha! I was constantly on alert at breakfast since I couldnt tell what was happening around me. I tried everything to clear my ears & nothing worked. Blah! I went to urgent care to see if they could help or at least narrow things down. I have fluid in my eustachian tubes. Theres no infection. I got a nasal spray to help unclog that mess & a miserable exercise that involves squashing & pushing my face into something fit just for today. It is supposed to straighten the tubes & clear things out. My left ear cleared momentarily while the doc was in the room & it popped so loud he heard it across the exam room! Then it plugged up again. I hugged Tinker & took care of the chickies when I got home & am continuing to smush my face, with little success. This really is the pits! Im really tired of all the weird & irritating things that have been happening to me! Last night I got a call about Fedelia, the special survivor alpaca. She had just eaten & was regurgitating & foaming at the mouth. Fortunately Marie was able to stroke her neck & it seemed to help. The vet said she ate too fast & it irritated her throat. She is to get intienflamatants & stay off grain for a week. Thank Heavens she seems to be all right. Good work Marie for your great intuition on treating her! I dont think I want to be deaf. This has been a totally baffling, miserable experience! Im on shaky ground as it is & Im convinced this could easily drive a person mad!!! But Im still laughing, although its probably more maniacal than usual. I dont really know... I cant really hear myself...
