This has not happened (to this degree) for quite awhile... I have gotten so much done yesterday and today despite excruciating pain issues. While trying to find a position of comfort and calm my breathing (it kind of shuts down when Im tense from pain), I was again reminded of sitting face to face with Mike shortly after getting home from the hospital and he had started having increased and worsening bouts of difficulty breathing. I taught him a technique that I have used for a really long time with asthma issues and now COPD. He was on his scooter and I was on a dining chair and he was clinging to my hands and I to his and I dont know that we had ever looked into each others eyes like that moment...I guess it was that lifeline thing we were sharing...we were both so frightened as well as AWARE. Anyway, it has recurred a couple times recently and SO vivid and I suppose because I am so exhausted from the work, coupled with the pain, that I just broke down and cried for him...to him. The loneliness, the reminders I have once again touched with this new move probably have some to do with it as well.
