This historic commercial building at 312 Broadway will soon become a 3-story bar and restaurant. The new owners paid $5 million for the building and are seeking to rehab the first-floor storefront to include a canopy over the sidewalk, replace windows in the second and third stories, and construct a new rooftop expansion mezzanine. The plans include bars and platforms on the first and second floors. The kitchen, a fourth bar and a dining room are slated for the third floor. Constructed around 1910, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Broadway Historic District and is protected by a historic zoning overlay.
