This in from the Rural Fire Service this afternoon - Kybong (South of Gympie) – vegetation fire Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are at the scene of a vegetation fire burning on the eastern side of the Bruce Highway at Kybong. Crews are working to contain the fire and there is no threat to property. A large smoke plume is affecting visibility on the Bruce Highway. Motorists are advised to be mindful of emergency services workers in the area and drive to the conditions. Residents in the area with respiratory conditions are advised to close their doors and windows and keep their medication close by. If youre in the area, please take care.
