This irritates me. Im all for commonsense methods for social media companies trying to stop abuse of its customers, ie. trolling, harassment, etc. The key phrase in that sentence was common sense. Because common sense wasnt applied and, say, any anon alias users who had complaints against them (does anyone at fb EVEN REVIEW those complaints?) should face deletion or suspension of their account. But to make a sweep on aliases really does target certain groups. Twitter had a similar dust-up when they attempted to address safety on their site- their way to stop harassment made it harder to report threats anonymously.
