This is Ann with James Moore and Associates. Our well known client is working on a sophisticated process to secure video content in a way its never been done before. They need a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to play an early role in the design and development of this Linux based platform for this exciting new security product. If you live in the South Bay, they have two locations, which would eventually enable you to share time between Sunnyvale and San Francisco to ease the commute. The initial couple months will be in San Francisco and they are very close to public transportation. Qualifications: - At least three years of relevant professional engineering experience - Significant C programming and software engineering experience - Broad knowledge of Embedded Linux or other RTOSs - Ability to build and occasionally customize the Linux kernel - Knowledge of TCP/IP and other network protocols - Experience with providing a solid platform to application developers Preferred: - Embedded Linux development for x86 platform and board support packages - Experience maintaining a custom Linux distro package is a plus - Set top Video hardware experience - C++ development - Experience with hardware bring-up is a plus - Platforms using hardware security modules (local HSMs), SafeNet, Thales - Data security protocols, features, and policies - Experience with or willingness to learn about semiconductor and OEM manufacturing test and assembly flow If this sounds interesting to you, please send me your resume as a Word or RTF attachment (not pdf please) ASAP.
