This is Barney heading along a track he has never been. His laid back attitude shows through. Interested in his surroundings but not silly or overwhelmed. Taking horses out early (this is his 6th ride!), I believe, gives the horse confidence that they can head out for a ride alone and be ok. They learn to trust me as a rider who sets up little challenges along the way - they learn as they go but the main thing is I never panic, and show them what I want.
