This is Emmie (temp name) the girl from I-20/59 exit 97, the Woodstock exit. She has been at my house since last Wednesday night. As you can see she is a beautiful girl. She has made a lot of progress since last Wednesday. In the beginning she was so frightened that she stayed in hiding. As you can see she has improved but she is still too frightened to allow herself to be touched. She cowers in a corner or behind something if you try to pet her. Because she is still not ready to accept human contact we have not been able to get her to a vet to be scanned yet. I will continue to work with her in hopes that her socialization continually improves. At present she seems to be content living inside our utility building with her heated mattress.
