This is Fly - not a very good photo so Ill post a better one later. Fly is a Staffie x who is nearly 7 years old. Ill let Fly tell you his story in his own words -- My name is Fly - I have been here since 2009. Before that I lived with a family who had a teenage son - he and his friends used to take me to the local golf course where one of them would hold me on a lead and the others would throw stones and beat me with sticks. My life was terrible, I slept in a dark cupboard and was always hungry, I had fleas that used to eat me alive. One day someone reported them and the dog wardens came for me. I went to the pound kennels where because I was so scared I would try and bite everyone. The dog wardens worked hard with me and eventually I trusted them but I was still scared of everyone else. I was called Fly because I used to fly at people with bared teeth. I was there for a long time but no-one wanted me and eventually the council said I had to be put to sleep. The Dog Wardens contacted Anne and asked her if she would take me - she said she would take me for 3 months to make me better so I could be rehomed - that was 6 years ago! I love everyone now and I love having a fuss made of me. My favourite toy is a rubber tyre which I wear around my neck and run round the fields with it. I used to hate men and teenage boys but I dont mind them now as Im not afraid anymore.
