This is Julianos new diet (Neocate LCP amino acid based powdered infant formula). He had an allergic reaction to normal baby formula, he got a severe infection, swelling and inflammation, and decreased blood flow in his bowel, causing him to have blood in his poo and also vomiting up clots of blood. His little body is UNABLE to digest protein. In SA we are only able to get ONE brand of amino acid formula by Nutricia at R477.00 per 400gr. A rip off in choice, selection, size and price. Medical aids DO NOT cover this formula, even if its considered A Food for special medical purposes and can only be administered under medical supervision.
