This is MOGS Foster, Gigi. Gigi is sad because she goes to MOGS - TopicsExpress

This is MOGS Foster, Gigi. Gigi is sad because she goes to MOGS outings and everybody ignore her to talk to, pet, and adopt the bigger, pure-bred shepherds. She thinks nobody loves her just because she is a small-sized cross breed =( Picked up from the street, along with her momma, Jasmine, Gigi was considered feral. She had never known the kindness of human touch, never eaten a decent meal, never had a warm place to sleep, except cuddled up with her also starving momma. Thanks to MOGS foster mom Audra, Gigi spent nine months in a loving foster home becoming socialized to people. Audra did an AWESOME job, and then Gigi came to me for more rehab work on gaining confidence, and learning that she can just relax and enjoy the world, and not always be on guard for threats. She worked so hard that she got to go visit all her old friends at Dogtoberfest, which was her MOGS first outing since switching foster placements. Poor baby was there with so many gorgeous big pure-breds, and beautiful pups, that nobody that came by even stopped to ask about her. =( Gigi is a sweetheart of a pup. She loves to play, and gets along well with other dogs after appropriate introductions. She will wrestle and play all day if she can get away with it. Her next favorite place is right at the feet of her human. And she gets especially excited if her human has Doritos that might drop to the floor (where she got this habit is beyond me, lol). She LOVES bacon treats and will sit very prettily and patient in order to get one. She has had a hard time on a leash, but is finally learning to regulate for short periods in a heel position. She is crate trained, and is also working on the command place to help her calm down from her inborn tendency to guard the humans and home that she loves. She sits easily, and is working on down and stand. These are a bit harder for her because she is such a playful little wiggle butt that she sometimes has difficulty sitting still. Oh. Did I mention that this girl is an agility nut? She loves, loves, loves to climb, jump, crawl and balance (she is not trained in agility, although I sometimes setup ramps for her to run and jump, to burn off energy). She loves to snuggle (THANK YOU, AUDRA for getting her to that), loves to have her jaw scritched, and looks at you with such adoration at times that she will melt your heart before you know it. Gigi is a wonderful little pup, and will be a great addition to the right family. =)
