This is: Scuba Diver and The Whale A SCUBA diver was underwater fixing a mooring chain when he felt an eerie presence close behind him. Turning to look, he was face to face with smiling Poco, a wayward beluga whale that had been entertaining New England with his harbor antics. Poco let the diver pet him. After a time, the diver realized that he was running low on air and had a job to finish, so he returned to his work. Poco had other ideas and began bumping into the diver to get his attention. Frustrated with the friendly creature, the diver motioned to Poco to, Get lost! Belugas are small by whale standards, but at fifteen feet when fully-grown, Belugas are gigantic to SCUBA divers. Belugas are also naturally social and can sprint at up to fourteen miles per hour. No one likes to stop having fun. Apparently, belugas do not either. Our diver was wearing a tool belt that was hanging diagonally across one of his shoulders. Poco suddenly hooked the divers tool belt in his snout, and then good-naturedly zipped away in a sprint with the diver in tow! I guess that even belugas need somebody to play with. Generally speaking, human beings are social creatures who need and crave companionship, yet many of us are lonely and alone. We can change that by reaching out, touching a hand, or simply by smiling at a stranger. Lets Pray: Dear God, if we are lonesome, send a smiling face to visit us; if we have compassion and empathy, send us to visit someone who is lonesome. Amen. Heres a Thought: Share love.
