This is a Novena to St Michael the Archangel and St. Patrick that my wife and I say every night for the protection of our families and other families: In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let us pray. Saint Michael the Archangel, loyal champion of God and His people, we turn to you with confidence and seek your powerful intercession. For the love of God, Who made you so glorious in grace and power, and for the love of the Mother of Jesus, the Queen of the Angels, be pleased to hear our prayer. Help us to conquer the evil spirits that tempt us. We desire to imitate your loyalty to God and Holy Mother Church and your great love for God and people. And since you are Gods messenger for the care of His people, we entrust to you this special request: (For the protection of our families from all evil.) Let us pray. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen. We arise today Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity, Through a belief in the Threeness, Through confession of the Oneness Of the Creator of creation. We arise today Through Gods strength to pilot us; Gods might to uphold us, Gods wisdom to guide us, Gods eye to look before us, Gods ear to hear us, Gods word to speak for us, Gods hand to guard us, Gods way to lie before us, Gods shield to protect us, Gods hosts to save us From snares of the devil, From temptations of vices, From everyone who desires ill for us, Far and near, Alone or in a multitude (From the Lorica of St. Patrick).
