This is a brief video of a storm 23 of us endured in The Atacama Desert of Chile head to Jamas Pass to cross over into Argentina. The weather was 15 below C. But this storm was near the salt flats. My friends all had full face helmets. I had an open face. My biggest fear was getting salt in my eyes because this dust storm was 60% salt. Salt in the eyes would make it impossible to continue. Just as we got out of this storm, we entered a second much worse one.That day 3 of our women got sick. 2 from the bitter cold and 1 from the elevation. But eventually we all crossed over, came down to a lower elevation and next day all turned well. I have a lot of respect for our Latin American riding brothers. They have no fear, ride in bitter cold, snow, rocks, sand, gravel, grass and worse, in all weather.
