This is a documentary made in 1997, so it is rather rough and inaccurate in some places. Hall of Fame Honoree, The Legendary Adriana was a BIG STAR in the Belly Dance world; but this documentary was made after she stopped dancing, so the main dancers you will see are Antonia and Ferouz (the still photos are of her). Adriana was my mentor, and she taught me how to produce a show like nobodys business! I helped her produce shows featuring Ibrahim Farrah and Eddie Kochak. She survived breast cancer, but still suffers from the murder of her husband and severe arthritis. There was talk of making a movie of her life and I suggested Juliette Lewis to play her part. You can see me in class around 45 minutes, and performing (modern Persian) at about 49:46. I expect her to call me soon because she can always sense when I am thinking about her!
